Transcendental Doodlescapes
These “Transcendental Doodlescapes” grow from the fertile soil of automatic drawing. Various elements of the compositions draw themselves spontaneously from time to time when I happen to be holding a pen and my thinking mind is otherwise occupied. These raw materials come to me from the Collective Unconscious and I recombine them into compositions, placing them within an interpenetrating colorspace that suggests things happening in a landscape. Many of them have the quality of portals to other dimensions, or perhaps the view back here from there.
